Animal Husbandry: Nurturing Livelihoods Through Care

Animal husbandry is the practice of breeding, raising, and caring for farm animals such as cows, goats, sheep, and poultry. It plays a vital role in rural economies by providing not only a consistent source of income but also essential food products like milk, eggs, and meat. For many farmers, especially in villages, livestock is more than an asset — it’s a source of daily survival, dignity, and progress.

By promoting scientific animal care, vaccination, clean shelter management, and balanced nutrition, we can significantly improve the productivity and health of livestock. This results in increased income for families and a reduction in livestock mortality. At Prakrutic Krushi Foundation (PKF), we conduct training sessions and provide support materials to educate farmers on modern and sustainable practices in animal husbandry.

Our goal is to empower rural communities with the knowledge and resources needed to treat their animals with compassion while maximizing economic value. Through this, we aim to build self-sustaining villages where animal welfare and human prosperity go hand in hand.
